8 ways


Here are eight easy ways to increase your strength. You will want to bookmark this article for future reference.

1. Increase workout intensity.

You can do this by simply increasing the amount of weights you are using. You can also work out with more power. Make sure that you use a spotter when you are increasing the amount of weights.

2. Get plenty of rest.

This is important. I don't mean sleep, though that is very important. You need to take breaks from time to time. I really do believe that this is a key aspect of fulfilling your goals. I think this is true with everything in life.

Sometimes we need to step back from a situation so that we can evaluate how well we are doing. If you have your nose right in it, you will be burnt out and you won't see your faults. It is important that you know your faults, but don't dwell on them. If you dwell on them, they will get worse. You will slack off. Instead, learn from them. Use them to guide you to make you a better person, or in this case a better body builder.

3. Be consistent.

You need to be so you can bulk up. If you aren't consistent in your work out, you will become lazy. You need a schedule.

4. Use a partner.

This is a great way to increase your workouts. Four eyes are better than two. Someone else can spot your mistakes and bad habits. Try it, you will be surprised.

5. Change your diet.

This is the easiest way to give you that boost. Cut down on sugar, salt and fat. All of those things will slow you down. Try cutting back and see how much extra energy you have.

6. Focus on secondary muscles.

The small muscles are what work the large ones. Work those and you will be working all of them.

7. Change your workout.

Change gyms from time to time. Change from weights to machines. If you can keep yourself on guard, you won't get in a routine. That is the dangerous part about working out. You get used to what you are doing and it takes less effort to do it. Less effort mean less of a workout.

8. Supplements.

Some of these do work. It is important that your diet consist of many things. Protein powder is a good example of this. The stuff works and is good for you. Although some supplements are junk, some are good.
