Setting Things Straight

It's common knowledge that it's hard for men to express their feelings. Since it's hard for them to open up they have to find that perfect moment to express themselves. Men usually let the woman make the first step in telling how she feels towards the man. For us woman we have to look for little clues that let us know that you're interested in us. It's very polite to buy her a drink or just give her seductive stares, these are all great hints for us to figure out that you like us. One misunderstood comment is the drunken truth. This happens all the time: a boy sees a girl he's interested in but he's too shy to go up and say something to her. So he buys 10 tequila shots.

About 15 minutes later he's telling her how he feels etc... There's nothing wrong with that. If involving a woman who's here today, gone tomorrow. What happens when you hit on a friend or co-worker after a few drinks? Was that you just being relaxed? Or did you just really mess up?

Men are afraid of being rejected. Their scared of something that can crush their ego in a split second. Along with any chance that they might have had with the girl. Men have this thing in them that makes them hold on to the man in them. Most of the time for men just the thought of making themselves vulnerable to the female species can have them scared shitless. Many men just sit n the side and pray the the lady will make the first move.

Whatever you do: when you're in a bar there's always the guy who knows his moves right? Yes! Meaning he knows how to work the ladies. Never follow in his lead. Ladies know men like that and that's not what we want. Be yourself, that's what we want. Trust me it's better to be know as a shy guy then a jerk.

For the shy guy
This is probably how the "drunk people spill their guts" myth got started. People think that when a person is drinking alcohol they can't keep a secret. Many people believe what a drunk person tells them because they think that their telling them the truth because their drunk. Let's get serious here, cranberry vodka is a cocktail. It will not make someone tell the truth. Just be careful what and who you'll believe, especially when their drunk.

Step back into reality
Yes, alcohol helps with shyness and it lets you be more relaxed, more comfortable and also let's people see another side of you. But when you have something that you know you should keep a secret and not tell anyone, you should bite your tongue. Unless you want to get caught, and use your drunken state as an excuse for spilling the beans so it looks like an accident. Whatever the reason is, you're the one who has the last say on what flys out of your mouth. And if you happen to be one of those people that believes whatever someone says under the influence, you should think again. Whatever their saying probably has no meaning behind it.

Get out while you still can
A lot of people have a hard time separating fantasy from reality. Tell me if this has ever happened to you: accidentally you told a close friend that you had feelings for her when in reality you just have loose lips. The worst thing is that you probably thought she felt the same towards you. We've all had times where we wished we didn't have to remember what we did or said but in reality we know better. What happened is that you got just a little too happy for your own good. There's always a way to save your ass.

Let me give you a few tips.
*Number one thing you need to do is call her about three days after you spilled your guts to her. Always remember this: don't ever give her any specifics on what happened that night. Don't show any guilt in your voice, trust me she'll hear it loud and clear. Just be calm, cool and collective.

Don't bring anymore attention to what happened then you really need to. Act as if you have no idea what happened. This way you'll look innocent in the matter. If you act like something's gone on then you'll look guilty.

Dilute your confession. Tell her that you weren't yourself that night and you flirted with many women that same night.

When she knows that she wasn't the only girl that you spilled the beans to she'll probably assume that you were saying it to every girl that walked by. Most women will be able to figure out what's going on by this time.

If you think that she doesn't believe what you've told her about that night, then it's time to take another approach. This might just show you that your "friend" wants you to like her.

Hurry up and suggest another night out with the gang. Get drunk and once you've reached that feeling great point ,hit on as many women as possible. Make sure your friend is watching you work the room. She shouldn't mind this at all if she's not interested right?

Ignore your friend while flirting with all these other women. She'll realize that whatever you said the last time you were out was just rubbish.

A drunk has more control then you think. Their either craving some attention or they just need to get something off their shoulders. Whatever their reason is the truth comes out because they want it to.

In conclusion, drink responsibly. If you stopped drinking all together you probably wouldn't get into a mess like this.
